Labourer - Stockton Mine
Bathurst Resources Ltd currently operates Stockton Opencast Mine which is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 km north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand’s largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world’s leading steel makers.
To strengthen our Mobile Plant Team, we are filling the position of
Reporting to the Mobile Plant Supervisor, this role is responsible for general labourer’s duties like painting, cleaning, stores duties, escorting visitors, machine operation, assisting tradespeople, and any other duties determined by your Supervisor in support of the Mobile Plant.
The roster for this position is on Day Shifts only (Mon-Fri) 10 hours per day.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- A current driver’s licence
- NCEA Level 1 English
- Positive attitude, motivated and enthusiastic
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Experience in the Heavy Industry preferred
- A strong Health and Safety focus
- Excellent attendance record.
While not operating or training on plant, Trainees will undertake relevant labouring activities.
