Loader Operator - Stockton Mine

Bathurst Resources Ltd currently operates Stockton Opencast Mine which is located close to the coast on a plateau in the Buller coalfield, 35 km north of Westport. This is one of New Zealand’s largest mines with a long history of coal production and produces high value coal for export to the world’s leading steel makers.

To strengthen our team, we are filling the position of:

Loader Operator within the Fixed Plant Operations, Stockton Opencast Mine/Ngakawau

We are looking for an experienced Loader Operator, who will be an important member of our Fixed Plant Coal Handling Processing Plant (CHPP) team. You will be operating the Raw Coal Pad( RCP) and/or Run of Mine(ROM) stockpile to meet production targets agreed in the Mine operating plan and complying with all relevant Stockton Health and Safety systems, policies and procedures.  

The shifts are 12 hour or 9 hours depending on the area that you are covering.

Ideally you will have mining or quarrying experience and you are able to operate relevant machinery.
