Water and Civils Engineer at Stockton Mine Westport

We are looking for a Water and Civils Engineer to strengthen our Environmental and Community Services Team located at our Stockton Opencast Mine.

The Role

Reporting to the Project and Water Management Engineer, this role provides Water Management and Civil's Engineering Services and advice to optimise mining operations and meet multiple compliance obligations. 

The successful candidate will ideally have recent experience in a similar position, and be looking for an opportunity to join a progressive team to develop their skills and experience.

Skills and Requirements

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree qualification in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
  • Some experience in water and/or civils engineering preferably 2 years industry experience
  • Advance level computing skills including mine specific software
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Environmental and Community Team is a department with a variety of on-going tasks, focussed on the environmental compliance of the open cast coal mine.
