Takitimu Mine Open Day 2023
Learn all about the Takitimu Mine Rehabilitation Programme at our 2023 Mine Open Day.
Join us for a fun-filled day out with the family including:
- Mine tours* - learn about our rehabilitation and see a 200-tonne excavator in operation
- Fundraising BBQ for the Ohai Nightcaps Rugby Club
- Woodchopping demonstrations by The Southland Otago Axe Men sponsored by Nightcaps Contracting
- Live music from 12pm
- Giveaways and prizes including free native plants and fuel voucher
- Coffee cart with free coffee vouchers - limited numbers
- And FREE activities for the kids including:
- Mini Jeeps
- Sumo suits
- Face painting
- Mr Whippy
When: 10am - 5pm, Sunday 2 April
Where: Ohai Nightcaps Rugby Club, with bus tours to the mine
